Collage and Connect was created to empower adults to reclaim their inner creative gifts and prove we are all artists in life. Many adults “lost” touch of their creativity and actually believe they don’t have a creative bone in their body. Narratives and limitations from society cause adults to believe they are not creative if they are not a “traditional” artist. The vision of the workshop is to lead participants through the process of making an original art collage while covering mindfulness objectives reconnecting with their inner creative child.

Contracommon is proud to participate in A LOT CLOSER, a group exhibition of works presented by TobarTakeover & ATX Artist Social, featuring our current Contracommon members. The exhibition will be on view at 2324 Studios ATX from September 21st through October 29th, 2023. A LOT CLOSER will have both an opening reception on Thursday, September 21st from 6 – 10 pm, as well as a closing reception on October 19th from 6 – 10 pm featuring a DJ and a panel discussion from a few of the member artists on exhibit.
